Final Exams are done for the student crew folk of Harvey Gamage and Virginia. Now it's just a matter of sailing for the finish line, Portland June 1. Family and friends are making preparations to welcome the intrepid sailors when they sail into port then pack their sea bags ashore saying farewell to their ships and shipmates of the last 4 months and 5000 nautical miles.
Mean while in Philadelphia, Amistad has sucessfully completed 5 days of open houses and daysails with the Independance Seaport Museum. Tomorrow she sails for Portland.

Ocean Classroom Foundation offers complete high school semester-at-sea programs voyaging with students and professional crew exploring the Western North Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Students are full participants in the operation of the ship and are fully engaged in an integrated curriculum including courses in Marine Science, Maritime and Caribbean History and Literature, and Navigation.
