Tuesday morning, June 4, Amistad arrived in Portland to berth alongside Westward after a fine passage from Philadelphia. Several weeks of yard time are to follow.

Ocean Classroom Foundation offers complete high school semester-at-sea programs voyaging with students and professional crew exploring the Western North Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Students are full participants in the operation of the ship and are fully engaged in an integrated curriculum including courses in Marine Science, Maritime and Caribbean History and Literature, and Navigation.
